Calmar has the welcoming and friendly small town character while being at the hub of an amazing variety of attractions within easy reach. Those who prefer woodlands, natural areas and flowers can enjoy both the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary and the Devonian Botanic Gardens within easy driving distance. 

 

The recently renamed Queen Elizabeth highway, a short ten minutes from Calmar, gives easy access to Edmonton. Visit the West Edmonton Mall for a shopping experience in the largest mall in North America. Want a completely different experience? Camping facilities are located at Wizard Lake Jubilee Park located 15km south of Calmar on Highway 795, phone 985-2499 or at Pigeon Lake located 35km west and south on Highway 39. There you will find several locations for camping that include Zeiner Park, phone (780) 586-2644 or Provincial Park, phone (780) 586-2654. Golfing is also available at several locations at Pigeon Lake. Other campgrounds and more information can be found at www.pigeonlake.com.

Both lakes offer boating, water-skiing, fishing and beaches.
